Quilt or Duvet- Which is better?

Quilt or Duvet- Which is better?

A quilt is made by taking using layers/batting stitched between two layers of fabric whereas a duvet usually combines a separate insert and cover. A comforter on the other hand has the cover built in.

Due to the construction and the materials used to make quilts, they are generally thinner than other kinds of bedding and provide aesthetic appeal to a room. Quilts do not require an additional cover and since many quilts are reversible, one quilt can potentially last through many different changes in bedroom decor!

Duvets are similar to comforters in terms of basic construction. The biggest difference is that duvets are designed to be used with a separate duvet cover, while comforters have a cover built in.

Duvet covers protect the insert from dirt and provide additional decoration. There are many cover options to choose from, making it easy to change the look and feel of your bed covering with each season.

Duvets with down feather inners are a more luxurious bedding types since they provide warmth and elegance needed to take your room from drab to glam!

WHICH ONE SUITS YOU?

Quilts, comforters, and duvets can all be comfortable for most people however, choosing the best option for you will largely depend on your specific needs, preferences and desired style.

Some who live in warmer climates may prefer quilts, which tend to provide a cooler sleep experience compared to duvets and comforters. Quilts also tend to be less bulky and more stylish than other options.

Those who like a softer feel may prefer the use of a duvet. The construction of a duvet could be a good fit for those who sleep cool, and there is always the option of changing the cover for easier cleaning and more style options.

Whichever option you select, make sure its one that will leave you happy and well rested.

Happy sleeping!
